– modern myths made more convincing given the phenomenon growth in information and knowledge since Paul made the prophecy.
When Pharaoh asked for an indisputable sign from Moses that he was sent by God; Aaron, Moses’ brother, responded by throwing down his wooden staff and it became a living serpent.
Pharaoh’s wise men and sorcerers attempted to do the same and did indeed succeed in imitating Aaron’s act by turning their staffs into serpents as well. The myths are believable so also the theory on and probably too Hawking’s theory on everything. But like the serpents created by Pharaoh’s wise men they were of no match to Aaron’s (Exodus 7) – the truth had prevailed over the mystics
I remember some years back when Brother Yun,[2]Brother Yun The Heavenly Man, came to Perth and I had the opportunity to ask him about his miraculous rescue from the maximum security prison, he had this to say, “Brother, the prison is real, the harshness of the life within was unimaginable, but I believe in the Truth, and when I heard the call in my distress, “Lazarus,[3]Lazarus come out!”, I knew it was from the Lord and I rose up despite my broken legs and walked through all the doors and gates that somehow were left unlocked or left ajar until I walked out of the prison’s main gate unassisted, and what’s more, a taxi was there waiting!”
Like the biggest bang that supposedly created the universe and now the theory to explain for the existence of everything, the final truth will always belong to God. He spoke and the Big Bang happened and in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).
Consider today then the claim Jesus made, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
