In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve enjoyed the closest communion any created being can expect with the Creator. In spite of this they fell into sin and separated themselves from the Holy God.
Nevertheless, God reached out to Adam just like the father in the parable of the Prodigal Son when He called out, ‘Adam, where are you?’
From the moment Adam disobeyed a veil came between God and man. No more would there be the walk and talk in the Garden between God and man. At least not till the coming of God’s Son, Jesus, in the form of a man just like Adam, to restore all that was lost ever since Adam sinned.
Jesus Christ atoned for the sin of mankind by offering Himself as the perfect and acceptable sacrifice.
The veil that separated the Holy of Holies from the rest of the Temple had now been removed restoring the fellowship between God and man.
We can boldly come before His throne of grace,2)Genesis 3:22-24 confident of His unfailing love, confident that there is nothing to be ashamed off and confident that His grace is indeed sufficient for us.
Through Jesus Christ we can now gain access to the tree of life3)Hebrews 4:16 whose fruit gives immortality.
“The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit (1 Cor 15:45).
