This is my story Raymond A Dale

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;

and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to

confound the things which are mighty.”

1 Corinthians  1:27

Dad calls me the black sheep of the family and well may he be right but even black sheep have something of value to give. This is my offering-

I am the eldest of four boys reared in a timber milling family on the Canterbury plains of New Zealand. I studied engineering at Timaru Technical College before beginning work as an electrical apprentice with Temuka Potteries.

Cycling home one evening I suffered serious injuries after being hit by a drunk driver. During those four weeks comatose an unknown local man had driven the two hours each way twice to visit me while unconscious in Dunedin Hospital. I only found this out months later during my first weekend home leave when my brothers pushed my wheel chair around the several blocks to meet this mysterious person. All I remember was the big Bible he opened up to various bits of paper every so often before looking up and smiling.

Unable to continue my apprenticeship and lacking funds I discovered I could hitch my way to town and back easily and without cost.

Encouraged I set off on a working sightseeing tour around New Zealand, suitcase in hand, only to be arrested and thrown in jail for vagrancy. I continued wandering doing various seasonal and laboring work until the accident compensation money was released on my turning twenty one. That very day I brought a British racing green MGB sports car and away I went a high flyer and all.

I was spending this money left right and centre when I experienced this terrifying dream. I was braking for a hard corner when my foot slammed straight to the floor. Where was the pedal??? Feverously I began stomping all over in search of it. I woke in a cold sweat running around in that strange dark room stabbing the air with both hands searching for that damned brake pedal. Immediately I knew it was about my not being able to stop spending this money until nothing was left but regret. I decided that if I am going to blow it then let’s go see the world doing it. I brought the best aluminum framed canvas backpack, a quality sleeping bag and a fine pair of walking boots and away I went as happy as Larry.

After three years working and hitching around England and Europe I found myself in Australia broke drifting around hustling more than enough to get by on.

I receive free board and lodgings several times for camping in parked rail passenger wagons. Most security guys would just sit down and enjoy a good yarn before going on their way. I began writing lines by candle light as Mary Jane set wings to the imagination. “Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance” explains Carl Sandberg. I had a fair collection before throwing my pack and all belongings over the cliff but I will get to that shortly.

The only one I seem to remember. –

Pot and grass and hash all dope,

Go live it all and only hope,

Your dreams rewards will never fall,

From orders big to orders small.

Sit and smoke and laugh aloud,

Find your living on a cloud,

No sense at all is ever seen,

Without a pipe of super dream.

I would sell these poems to people on the streets. Never made much but I sure met lots of arty and interesting people who opened doors to homes, religious groups, cults and hippie communes, but I never stayed long in one place.

North for winter and south for summer. Life was easy – to easy.

Going on 30 I was beginning to worry as to where this unresponsable life style was heading. I had tried settling down many times but with a week’s pay in hand it was out the window at midnight and off I would go as happy as Larry. The needed change came after school kids, swimming in a creek behind a village, showed me how to identify Gold Top magic mushrooms. I spent the next few days following that clear flowing stream eating nothing but whatever Gold Top mushrooms I came across and they were plenty. We are such stuff as dreams are made of nightmares and all.

It was a few days later while overlooking the Clarence river rail bridge the answer came.
Simply get rid of this pack on my back once and for all. I knew there was no turning back as I flung it far out over the cliff edge into the deep flowing waters below. I set out for Brisbane with nothing but the clothes on my back and a big bag of fresh mushrooms. Ran into Spider who invited me to crash in this soon to be demolished house down the Valley he and several other guys were occupying. I paid my keep by hitching down near Murwillumbah once a week to pick a bag of mushrooms.

Occult books ensnare my heart with their promise of success and power.
I rented a bed sitter under an elderly German ladies house high up on Constitution hill overlooking Brisbane city.  During the interview Mrs. Poppy asked if I smoked marijuana and could I show her some. When I gave her a bud she showed me this jar full of what looked like seeds. She grew lots of poppies together with many herbs, fruit and nuts of all sorts around about the house and back garden. Only this one time did she bring me some tasty stew. Half an hour later I began to realize I was out of my tree. As I sat there turning the cards Mrs. Poppy began smashing bones with the back of a small axe for Nero, her Collie dog. This voodoo like banging together with whatever she gave me brought about horrific visions that so scared the whatsits out of me I knew I had to make another clean break from this occult screw. I visited the Presbyterian Church around the corner and sought advice from the Reverend John Thompson.

A few days previous I was drawn to a framed print of Jesus knocking on a vine covered door sitting there in the window of a Salvo store. It now hung from the wall behind the table I was turning the cards on. The very day after the purchase a young lass bowls up to tell me about Jesus. As I walked on she quickly tore a stamp from a booklet demanding “take this!” I looked and blow me down if it was not a copy of the Holman print. She had my undivided attention. “Look carefully, she explained, there is no handle on the door Jesus is knocking on. Only you can open it from the inside and invite him in.”

John invited me around for many a meal after which he opened his Bible and shared scriptures like Romans 7:15-17  “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.” I popped along to his service several times before he invited me to go visit another Church. There I was taken into a side room after the service and sat on a chair in the middle of a bare room. Several people prayed for what seemed like forever walking around about the chair. Several days later I found myself on a plane back to NZ, suitcase in hand.

I was working for Dad down the mill when the mushroom flashbacks became of concern enough to go see our family doctor who gave me a shot of something he said would cure these hallucinations. No sooner was I back at work when this shot kicked in causing uncontrollable muscle spasms to torture my jaw. Went back to the Doc who saw me immediately I burst through his front door. I was told this side effect would only last half an hour and to just go home and put something between your teeth to prevent grinding and just wait for it to pass.

Frustrated with life I volunteered myself in as a day patient at Princess Margaret Psychiatric hospital up in Christchurch to see if these experts could help me work things out.

Instead of answers I was given weekly injections plus heaps of colored pills daily.

The day was spent hanging around for group therapy and relaxation classes. I was soon barred from the relaxation classes because I would quickly fall asleep and start snoring rather loudly.

After two months their drugs were causing maddening shaking effects. When they refused to change the medication I simply refused to take any more full stop. Immediately I was dismissed from the program and shown the door. During this time the Holman print hung above my bed in the boarding house where I had forced myself to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Living Bible John had given me but the words made no sense at the time.

Aged 31 I rented a bedsitter in Timaru and hung the Holman print eye level on the back of the loo door. I found a job down the harbor dumping wool bales ready for shipping. At work I enjoyed the company of the foreman who spoke with a strong European accent and claimed to be an Austrian Count and Satanist.  As I sat there on the loo that April evening contemplating “The Light of The World” I had the sudden realization of just what sort of a good for nothing bastard I really was. It was like the bottom had fallen right out of my life leaving me impulsively suicidal. My guilt and shame so screamed for release that in utter desperation I began to cry out to God to prove he exists by taking this stuffed up life and you doing something with it. I’ve had it. Next thing my arms were raised and I was thanking and praising God. A deep euphoric peace had so calmed life’s storms it was like walking out of thick fog into sunshine and scenes arcadian. George MacDonald best explains “How often we look upon God as our last and feeblest resource. We go to him because we have nowhere else to go. And then we learn that the storms of life have driven us, not upon the rocks, but into the desired haven.
I dug out the Bible and tried reading it again. Only this time the words jumped right out reading me like an open book. Paul explains how this happens in first Corinthians chapter two verse fourteen. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” I soon discovered discernment is the great lack in today’s Church as I began devouring God’s Word and writing down those scriptures that spoke aloud. Having always been an avid reader I was soon including pithy passages from all readings as Emerson explains, “It is the good reader who makes the good book. In every book he finds passages which seem confidences or asides hidden from all else and unmistakably meant for his ear. The profits of books is according to the sensibility of the reader. The profoundest thought or passion sleeps in a mine until it is discovered by an equal mind and heart.”

Quotations are one of the best means for preserving truth against the tyranny of time, and particularly so during this prophesied time of great deception.

Senior Pastor Geoff Woodward of Perth’s Metro Church explains how…

They can challenge, inspire, correct or inform. At other times they will serve to teach us that as a society we have not become stronger or better despite the hard-learned wisdom of our forebears.

How do we know when we are being lied to is a good question to which I found the answer on a bumper sticker that simply read:

Avoid truth decay – read your Bible.

Barry Smith’s teachings also had a big impact on my understanding during those early days he spent with us in Timaru.”

The next few days at work were most interesting, excitedly telling my work mates about Jesus and how he had set me free from the wages of sin and death by the cleansing power of his blood. I was on fire. I gave one of the guys my pile of porn and returned the rented black and white TV. I was working behind one of the noisy dumpers happily singing my heart out, “Reach out Lord, reach out through me, for all the world your love to see” when suddenly everything stopped and it went dead quiet. I turned around and there was the Count in the far corner of the shed pointing his finger at me shouting “I have put the evil eye on you.” I responded immediately shouting back “I wear the full armor of God and your curse is bouncing straight back at you multiplied 100 times.” I was given the boot when I turned up for work the next morning. Shortly after I asked God for a new hobby heaps and heaps of interesting old books began turning up.

I had no sooner joined Timaru’s New Life Center Church when a family of born again ex exclusive Brethren invited me to come live with them and their two children with whom I remained until I married Jill in 1980. I met Jill and her new born baby through an ad in the local paper.  It was a pure sexual relationship up until my salvation. I would still pop in to excitedly share all the miraculous things that were going on with my new life in Christ. She come along to Church several times before answering the alter call but for the wrong reason (I did not understand this at the time). I was so over the hill yet so unsure of marrying a single mum until she brought this grand old house with its workshop out the back. It was Isaiah 4:1 and I fell for it hook line and sinker. We were married for 13 years during which time she regularly worked night shift as a registered nurse. I worked with the Chief Post Office until we moved with our 2 boys over to Perth in March 84. In Perth I had regular work with TAIMAC video Corporation as their production set builder up until we lost out on the Chanel 10 license.

Since then except for two years at Bible college and another couple at TAFE, I have virtually locked myself away from the world in my books. As G K Chesterton points out

The disadvantage of men not knowing the past is that they do not know the present. History is a hill or high point of vantage, from which alone men see the town in which they live or the age in which they are living.

What I discovered in these old books was amazing and the oldest book the most amazing of all. Two were written by a Dr Nikola Tesla.

The reason why most people, including myself, had never heard of this genius and his world changing inventions soon became apparent. He built with George Westinghouse the world’s first alternating current generator at Niagara falls. All his inventions like alternating current, the induction motor, radio, radiant energy, the Tesla coil, remote control, fluorescent lighting, x-rays etc were discoveries made in his search for the best means to generate and transmit electrical energy wirelessly. His childhood dreams were to harness the power of Niagara falls and to build what he called a electric flying machine, having neither wings, gasbags nor propellers, powered wirelessly from ground generators. He later discovered that Electric power is everywhere present in unlimited quantities and can drive the world’s machinery without the need of coal, oil, gas, or any other fuels.

The global warming carbon scam becomes apparent when one understands the profit motivated suppression of alternate free clean electrical energy systems to power our homes, transportation and industrial needs just as God intended.

Michael Faraday wrote the following after testing his first magnet powered generator,

There is a wheel in the physical mechanism of the action that is missing, whereby electricity (energy) should be derived from Magnetism without the expenditure of mechanical energy.

Since Tesla many inventors have discovered various means to tap into this vast sea of energy filling all space.

I have compiled a DVD Encyclopedia on alternate energy systems.

I also compiled a multimedia DVD “Flying Saucers, Aliens and the New World Order” as a means of sharing what I understand to be the Secret History of the world together with the answer to that great question WHY?

This DVD includes over 10 hours of many previously censored documentary film clips.

My interest in UFO’s began as a 16 year old boy with a new book in dads library called “Flying Saucers have Landed,” published in 1954 by George Adamski. His story was fictitious but it was the included flying saucer photos taken through his six inch telescope that caught my attention. I later learned these photos were of a German WW2 Tesla Haunebu craft. The Kenneth Arnold sighting followed 10 days later by the Roswell incident began the successful cloaking of these man made craft.

I finally arranged the best of my research pdf books and files into THE JOURNEY MANS LIBRARY on DVD. I love this unknown authors description of the library as being that grand place of learning. “What grand companionship await us as we turn from the noises and turmoil of life, and sit down for an evening amongst our books. Kings of thought of every age stand in ferried ranks waiting to do our bidding. Poets of the elder time, and of these later years – Homer and Milton and Pope, Longfellow and the Browning’s and Lowell – sing at our bidding their immortal songs. Historians repeat for us the deeds of other days. Philosophers dig deep for us about the roots of knowledge. Shakespeare unveils for us the mystic workings of heart and mind, and laughs or weeps, or fights or dies for us, just as we desire. Great students, with dreams on fire with God, offer us the result of their lifelong studies. The men of science probe nature’s very heart for secrets, and lay their trophies at our feet. These are the grand and silent fellowships that wait for us. They have hoarded their genius to the uttermost, and made us heirs of all the ages, in the foremost files of time.”

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie,Revelation 2:9This Synagogue is engaged in a full scale war to enthrone Lucifer in a rebuilt Solomon’s temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. From there they will have absolute power to control everybody and everything. No one will be able to buy or sell without their mark. The final stage for this New World Luciferian Order were set in place by Jesuit Astronomers, Copernicus and Galileo, 500 years ago.  Jesuit Priests have always been the world’s leaders in astronomy with the best equipment such as the world’s most powerful binocular telescope named LUCIFER situated on Mt Graham in America now ready to splash mind numbing news

across Orwellian screens. The Roman Catholic Church has already established an alien Embassy ready to greet them1)Pope Francis Talks About Aliens; Says He Would Welcome Martians to Receive Baptism read

Jesuit lies have been so ingrained since childhood that we neither question nor give them a single thought.  For instance we all know that everything came into being after the big bang billions of years ago. That the earth is a globe spinning  at 1000 mph as it revolves around the sun at 66,000 mph in a universe expanding at half the speed of light. Those deep space shots have show us just how small and insignificant planet earth really is amongst trillions of billions of galaxies in an infinitely expanding universe. Mix this in with Darwin’s theory and what do you get?

The big problem with this Jesuit interpretation is that my King James Bible clearly states the earth is not moving.

Examples are found in 1 Chronicles16:30: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable.” Psalm 93:1: “Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm …”  Psalm 96:10: “He has fixed theearth firm, immovable …” Psalm 104:5: “Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken.” Isaiah 45:18: “…who made theearth and fashioned it, and himself fixed it fast…” Whom do you believe?

I agree with Eric Dubay, author of “The Flat Earth Conspiracy2) who confirms  “this modern atheistic, Big Bang, heliocentric globe earth, chance evolution, paradigm spiritually controls humanity by removing God or any sort of intelligent design from the mind and replaces purposeful divine creation with haphazard random cosmic coincidence. And so by removing Earth from the motionless center of the universe these Masons have moved us physically and metaphysically from a place of supreme importance to one of complete nihilistic indifference. If the Earth is the center of the Universe then the ideas of God creation and a purpose for human existence are resplendent, but if the Earth is just one of millions of suitable planets revolving around billions of stars then the ideas of God creation and a specific purpose for Earth and human existence become highly implausible.”

Are we being set up for a false flag Alien UFO invasion is a good question.
Alien invaders would force men of all nations, colors, and creeds together to fight a common enemy just as President Regan suggested while addressing the UN. They plan to reduce the world’s population by 90% to an easily controllable level. It seems the devils greatest asset is the doubt people have about his existence.

moneymazeFollowing the money trail one discovers our nation is controlled by those who print and control our interest bearing debt money.
These European bankers, better known as the Rothschild family, gained control of England’s wealth after Napoleon was defeated at the battle of Waterloo. Rothschild’s spies brought the news of Napoleon’s defeat a full 20 hours before it became public knowledge. By quickly spreading the rumor that Napoleon had won, investors realised their shares would now be worth zilch and desperately began selling for whatever little they could get. Rothschild agents in turn brought these shares at rock bottom prices. Of course once it was discovered that Napoleon had actually lost, these shares shot straight back up again making the Rothschild’s the new owners of the bank of England. They are also the bankers for the Roman Catholic Church as well as for the Queen and Commonwealth.

Since the early 1830’s America did not have a central bank. The Jesuits desperately wanted a central bank in America so as to have a bottomless reservoir from which to draw the funds needed for their three world wars, and other hideous schemes, designed to bring the world back under papal rule. Benjamin Guggenheim, Isidor Straus and John Jacob Astor were the three wealthiest men preventing a Rothschild central bank from being established in America.

These three fully understood, as did Thomas Jefferson who warned,

Bank created credit issued as a repayable, interest bearing debt, absolutely guarantees that we will, as a community, go ever deeper into debt, until the system is reformed or we lose our possessions.

Titanic_paperboyThis competition had to be removed in such a way that no one would ever suspect the Jesuits. In 1912, the year before the Federal Reserve was established, these three ultra wealthy Americans, were given free tickets and coerced to board the maiden voyage of the unsinkable Titanic. The Titanic’s Captain Edward Smith was a short robe Jesuit who faithfully followed his masters orders. The following year, with all competition removed, Nathan Rothschild finally got his central bank firmly established in America together with the introduction of the income tax. The Catholics celebrate this victory with their red mass where they pray to their long dead inquisitor Thomas More. The Rothschild’s celebrate it by making April 15th, the day the Titanic sank, America’s tax day. “From now on, depressions will be scientifically created,” warned Senator Charles A. Lindbergh Sr.

In the soon coming global money crash these Ashkenazi Talmudic Jews will offer to erased all personal debts providing you accept their micro-chip mark inserted under the skin.

In the 13th chapter of the book of revelation it is written, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred and sixty six.3)

If you examine the so-called Star of David, or hexagram as on the Israeli flag, you will discover it has six points, forms six equilateral triangles, and its interior forms a six sided hexagon. The symbol of the true Torah believing Jewish people is the Menorah candle holder.

The Word of God declares the world loves darkness rather than light but nevertheless, there are those who would welcome some real tangible evidence of the reality of God and his plan for his world and to all such I trust Visionary Quotations will find its way, proving to be a storehouse of treasure and the means of opening many blind eyes.

“They all of them liked quotations” (Lewis Carrol)

Einstein, Moses, My Father and Me

by Charles Slack

Einstein is probably the most famous scientist who ever lived and this equation one of the most widely recognised mathematical expressions in the world. A powerful related theory, Einstein’s General Relativity, has now passed enough crucial tests to be considered a scientific fact.[1] However, among the millions of us Christians who recognise Einstein’s face and formula, how many know what the expression really means or what General Relativity signifies for our lives and Christian beliefs?

In September 1905 Albert Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2 appeared in the German Annalen der Physik in a paper titled, “Does the inertia of a body depend upon its energy-content?”
The equation appears in a different form on the last page of the article but it’s still the same equation

Einstein is probably the most famous scientist who ever lived and this equation one of the most widely recognised mathematical expressions in the world.  A powerful related theory, Einstein’s General Relativity, has now passed enough crucial tests to be considered a scientific fact.1)See for example and Astronomer and Christian Pastor, Hugh Ross, in his book “The Creator and the Cosmos”, Copyright 1993 by Reasons to Believe. [and later editions] NavPress summarises the extensive proofs of General Relativity.  See However, among the millions of us Christians who recognise Einstein’s face and formula, how many know what the expression really means or what General Relativity signifies for our lives and Christian beliefs?

theoryI grew up with physicists and other scientifically-minded relations who took delight in explaining Einstein’s theories to me.  My father and his closest brother were experimental nuclear physicists who clearly understood General Relativity.  They also knew Einstein personally but in those days experimenters and theoreticians tended to understand each other’s work better than they understood each other.  I was eager to know all about the personal life of a genius like Einstein but my father and his friends rarely concerned themselves with such trivia.  They only worried about getting along when they had to work together.  My father complained that many of the best and brightest were “difficult” and some, “impossible”.  The way Einstein dressed, for example, was a problem in those days.  At one point the security guards at Westinghouse where my father worked thought Einstein was the gardener and my father had to go down and rescue him at the entrance.  All the while, Einstein and other theoreticians needed hands-on experts like my father who joked that “theory guys” couldn’t do anything but write on blackboards.  Their relationship was not dissimilar to that between an author and a publisher or an architect and a builder.

In the nineteen forties, these mathematicians, physicists, chemists, engineers and the like were all required to cooperate on by far the largest, most expensive and most secret research-and-development effort to date: the Manhattan Project.  Before its nuclear devices were exploded, the public and the media, ignorant of earth-shaking events to come, misunderstood and ridiculed brainy “eggheads” and “boffins” for their esoteric talk and absent-minded behaviour.  Even nerdy teens (like me) got bullied.  A popular comic strip “Alley Oop” featured a dome-headed character named “Dr. One Mug” (English for Ein Stein).  After the first nuclear device exploded in July of 1945, ridicule turned to awe but misunderstandings did not entirely abate.  Not surprisingly, my father had no respect for public opinion (and little for social psychology, which I studied against his advice).  He would have been shocked at the thought that a mere actress like Jane Fonda could impede peacetime development of nuclear power.  Still, the big corporations certainly believed in a nuclear future: after constructing an atomic engine to power the famous Nautilus submarine (using my father’s basic design), Westinghouse sold off their appliance divisions to concentrate on designing, building and servicing reactors.

Before I was ten years old, my father began to teach me some implications of E=mc2.  He said that the energy contained in a spoonful of dirt could light New York City for weeks if we only knew how to get it out.  When I told the neighbourhood kids the things he said, they thought I was strange.

Born in 1901 four years before E=mc2, my father got his PhD at Columbia University in New York City and matured as a nuclear physicist while General Relativity was being tested and proved.  He dreamed of being an astronomer but in the Great Depression industrial physics was a more practical alternative.  He worked within the theory, inventing uranium-based X-ray equipment, and eventually designing nuclear reactors.  His department at Westinghouse refined all the raw uranium used to make the first bombs.  Because he breathed beryllium molecules from crucibles in which uranium was melted, he died from beryllium poisoning in 1970.  He was unfortunately not a Christian but like Einstein he said he had to admit that the universe had not always existed but that all time, space, matter and energy had suddenly come into being from nothing/nowhere/no time.  Since the universe had an absolute beginning, it might well have had a Beginner or even a Creator.  He could not rule out that possibility.  Agreeing with Moses in this limited sense, my father and Einstein could possibly be called “creationists”.

From 1946 to 1955 I lived in Princeton, New Jersey where Einstein migrated in 1933 to escape the Nazis.  Retail magnate, Louis Bamberger, had financed the first intellectual “think tank”, near Princeton University but not officially a part of it, The Institute for Advanced Study .  Einstein was one of the Institute’s first permanent members with a stipend reported to be $5,000 per year.  I was an undergraduate, graduate student and finally an instructor in the Psychology Department at Princeton from 1946 to 1955.  Like nearly everyone I knew in town, I had conversations with the great man but, unlike my father, I wanted to delve into his personal life.  He didn’t reveal much but he did give me advice to simplify my life.  Because of him, I read Louis Fischer’s Life of Mahatma Gandhi.2)I believe that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., born just two weeks after me in 1929, also learned of Gandhi’s methods from reading Fischer’s bio while attending Morehouse College in Atlanta Georgia.  Gandhi gave credit to Jesus for his Passive Resistance tactics.  He said they were derived from the Sermon on the Mount. Einstein revered Gandhi and had two lithographs on his coffee table, one of the Mahatma3)Mahatma” is Sanscrit for “great soul”. dressed in a simple homespun loincloth and the other of the Archbishop of Canterbury dressed in robes of gold and silver.  It was clear which one Einstein admired.

I found Einstein to be a minimalist.

He simplified his life so as to make time for thinking.  He created time and space for himself rather than just filling them up.  He believed empty space and free time were not “nothings” but dinge an sich to be understood and appreciated.  However, he was, in my opinion, an unhappy man. His first marriage had ended in divorce, his second wife was deceased and he had a schizophrenic son.  However, I suspect the primary cause of his dejection was the problem of “quantum gravity” : quantum mechanics was proving to be incompatible with general relativity, especially at the beginning of space/time.  The proposed solutions to this difficult problem were incomplete, multi-dimensional, extremely complicated, and inelegant in Einstein’s terms.  Einstein was unhappy because something was wrong and he couldn’t fix it.

He’d been wrong in theory before.

He’d originally doubted his own equations of general relativity that trace the origin of the universe backward in time to a singular originating event.  His own General Relativity said the universe was not created in time (nor on time), but that time and space all began at once.  At first Einstein found this repellent.  So before publishing his cosmological inferences, he introduced a cosmological constant, a “fudge factor,” to yield a static model for the universe. Einstein later considered this to be the greatest blunder of his scientific career.  Einstein accepted what he called “the necessity for a beginning” and “the presence of a superior reasoning power.” But he never did accept the reality of a personal God.4)www

British Royal Astronomer Fred Hoyle was another who disliked the religious implications of an absolute beginning.  He hung onto belief in an eternal, steady-state universe despite the evidence and he called the opposing viewpoint a “Big Bang”.  It was nothing but a pejorative, he and other atheists ridiculing their colleagues for joining “the church of Christ of the Big Bang”.  The ridicule subsided when Einstein’s theory proved to be correct – but the nickname stuck.

Today scientists tend to think the Big Bang alone might possibly imply a Creator.  Because of this implication, some scientists have difficulty accepting it.  Others have become Deist or even Christian because the scientific evidence increasingly indicates a mighty intelligent designer who created the universe specifically for human life to survive and thrive and who transcends his creation, not being bound by it in any way5) | www | . | |  Still others are working hard to find ways around this obvious, but religious-sounding, conclusion.

So the Big Bang is neither “big” nor a “bang” but rather an incredibly finely tuned, extremely high-energy, ex nihilo creation event that strongly implies the existence of an Agency, a First Cause, a Causer, a Designer, a Creator, a Supreme Intelligence, an Observer or without stretching the imagination, a Loving Personal God Who Cares Deeply About The Human Condition.6)Shaeffer, Henry F. [Fritz] III,, and,_III This last thought stems from a miracle called “the anthropic principle”: many parameters, constants and events that define our entire universe seem precisely predetermined (chosen) to permit and sustain life, including advanced life (us and our civilizations) and to permit us to observe this marvellous universe in which we live.7)| www |  The Bible says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1)

Like many scientists, Einstein and my father (and I before I accepted Jesus as my Saviour) found the idea of supernatural miracles repugnant – contrary to the spirit of natural science – but could not see where Science had a natural explanation for the origin of the universe.  As the vast complexity of even the simplest possible living cell became obvious, the origin of life also began to appear miraculous.  At one psychology seminar, I heard the great physicist Niels Bohr say, “Life, is agiven”, meaning we must accept it without complete explanation.  I now believe it is, rather, a gift.

Because life is so abundant on earth, some scientists hope to find it elsewhere but increasingly, it seems the chances are getting smaller.8) | www | |  9)Ross, Hugh, Follow the water to life? Connections Linking Science And Faith, Vol 6, 1, First Quarter 2004, page 6. Hypotheses are continually being proposed10) | www |  but none has achieved significant validity or consensus.  Most secular biologists don’t want to admit it but how life could have originated completely naturally anywhere in the universe, including the planet Earth, remains a mystery.11)See, for example, Davies, Paul C. Likewise “multiverse” theories proposing that our universe is just one out of a huge number of various others – are constantly being put forward.  If there were an infinite number of universes, life would be possible by chance or other natural causes.  However all manner of impossible events would also be possible and no miracle, no matter how strange, could be completely ruled out.  The proponents of multiverse theory have yet to propose a number for how many universes may exist or even a ballpark figure other than “very large” and “nearly infinite” – (although nothing natural can actually ever be near to infinity which is not a “natural” concept).  Saying there are an infinite number of different universes is equally non-natural or “supernatural” as saying there is only one universe designed by a creative Being.

The religious implications of Einstein’s theory of the expanding universe are now clear to most professional cosmologists, astrophysicists, and astronomers.  They may not like it but a Creator is a real possibility.  Since time did not exist before the absolute beginning, there can be no natural or physical cause of the universe.  Some quantum events are “uncaused” in the ordinary sense but these require an “observer” in order to become anything other than a distribution of probabilities.  An obvious remaining possibility is that of a living “agency”.  An event that cannot be attributed to natural or physical possibilities including chance must be attributed to such an entity acting “at will”.  In this case the God of the Bible is the prime suspect.

The Bible is the only holy book that says God existed before time began, that He created time.  Einstein’s theory says the universe was not created in time (nor on time), but that time and space all began at once.  From nothing!  Just like Genesis 1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  (The Hebrew words translated “heavens and earth” actually mean “the totality of the universe and everything in it.”)

Hugh Ross, Ph.D., who is both an astronomer and an evangelical Christian pastor, asks the question, “Who should get credit for discovering the Big Bang?”  Hugh says the answer is not “Einstein” but “Moses”.12)Or perhaps Job.  SeeHugh Ross and John Rea, Big Bang – The Bible Taught It First!

Theory on Everything

by Timothy Tay

This week the eminent scientist, Stephen Hawking, released his latest work, The Grand Design,1)The Grand Design claiming that science can explain how the universe was formed – from nothing that is. This is in contrast to his 1988 book, A Brief History of Time:

which he eluded that when we did eventually discover the complete theory of time and matter we will finally understand the mind of (creator) God. With this new publication Hawking may well be leading the world into an intellectual exercise that rival Charles Darwin’s in the 19th century with his Theory of Evolution – that humankind’s evolved from apes – inference that God did not make man and therefore the Bible account is untrue.
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. (2Ti 4:3-4 ESV)

– modern myths made more convincing given the phenomenon growth in information and knowledge since Paul made the prophecy.

When Pharaoh asked for an indisputable sign from Moses that he was sent by God; Aaron, Moses’ brother, responded by throwing down his wooden staff and it became a living serpent.

Pharaoh’s wise men and sorcerers attempted to do the same and did indeed succeed in imitating Aaron’s act by turning their staffs into serpents as well. The myths are believable so also the theory on  and probably too Hawking’s theory on everything. But like the serpents created by Pharaoh’s wise men they were of no match to Aaron’s (Exodus 7) – the truth had prevailed over the mystics

I remember some years back when Brother Yun,2)Brother Yun The Heavenly Man, came to Perth and I had the opportunity to ask him about his miraculous rescue from the maximum security prison, he had this to say, “Brother, the prison is real, the harshness of the life within was unimaginable, but I believe in the Truth, and when I heard the call in my distress, “Lazarus,3)Lazarus come out!”, I knew it was from the Lord and I rose up despite my broken legs and walked through all the doors and gates that somehow were left unlocked or left ajar until I walked out of the prison’s main gate unassisted, and what’s more, a taxi was there waiting!”

Like the biggest bang that supposedly created the universe and now the theory to explain for the existence of everything, the final truth will always belong to God. He spoke and the Big Bang happened and in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).

Consider today then the claim Jesus made, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
