A
New Season of Incredible Change Arrives
And so we have a new Prime Minister and a new
Government. Of course some may have genuine concerns about where elements
of this new Government may want to take us but we must never forget that
God is still in control and He can thwart any plans the enemy may have
to usurp His place in our nation. The new season we are entering will
require a significant change of heart on the part of many current leaders
within the Body of Christ otherwise the exodus of the "old guard"
from politics will be mirrored within Christian circles as well. Just
as there is a generational change happening in politics so it will begin
also in the Body of Christ. That generational change will not necessarily
be related to age but it certainly will be linked to the ability of people
to grasp and champion fresh and creative strategies that God will give
us in this new season.

Early Reflections Sunday 25 Nov
While being disappointed with the low overall CDP vote (and the
2.2% vote in Moore) I am so encouraged by the prayer and dedication in
action shown by our supporters. This has been overwhelming. Thankyou!
We pray that God will hold back evil in our country and that may be by
balance of power in Senate but the answer may be not yet. OK Lord, but
how long? Yes Lord, in Your time… In the meantime do we keep our
hand to the plough? Of course – we have a message to a dying world.
We need to pray that Kevin Rudd will be consistent with his expressed
Christian conviction and that he will be a moderating influence on other
clearly expressed agendas within Labor.
I continue to share in and be encouraged by Paul’s wonderful expression
of praise after reflecting on the hardness of heart of Israel and his
knowledge that God will eventually bring Israel back to Himself. Romans
11:33-36
Oh,
the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
"Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?"
"Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay him?"
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.
And
then of course comes 12:1 therefore…! Blessings and thanks to all.

The
final tally for Election 2007 is not officially over yet but one surprising
outcome is the way West Australians have voted - contrary to the trend
of the rest of the nation. Had local issues taken precedent? Analysts
will be made by many but many that I know believed that it is the God's
factor, more precisely, the destiny God had laid for the church in WA
in relation to the transformation process happening in Australia and more
so the nations beyond. It is therefore not surprising that WA will continue
to be led by decisions made further afield than from Canberra alone.
