Dear Friends of Emmanuel School,

We take pleasure to share with you some news regarding the school.

Mission Team from Perthmission-team

In May we had the privilege to lead a team from Perth to Cambodia and had a wonderful time ministering in churches and Emmanuel school. We participated in the wedding celebration of one of Emmanuel’s school teacher, Sela. The ceremony was Khmer but was done in a fully God honouring manner.
The washing of feet of the parents of both the bride and bridegroom were inspiring and probably a good lesson we all can learn from the Khmers. We ministered in all the classes at Emmanuel and several students responded to salvation call.

Water BaptismWater Baptism

On 17th May fourteen Cambodian believers made public declaration of their faith through water baptism conducted by pastors Bien, Teresa and Tim and they well-assisted by the rest of the team from Perth. Twelve of those baptised were staff members of Emmanuel school.
The principal of the primary school as well as the secondary school were also been baptised. Many of these teachers have experienced renewed faith in Christ since then. Ps Bien wrote regarding the secondary school principal, Mr Sopheak, “I’m amazed at his enthusiasm and desire to know the Lord Jesus after his water baptism, something must have happened, we talked a lot and each time he mentioned Jesus and the blessings he is receiving.”

Once again Emmanuel school was chosen by the renowned university to conduct their annual training program in underdeveloped nations through student volunteers.

The pupils of Emmanuel were amazed to learn about electricity by assembling their hand made torch lights on their own.

Pastors Bien & Fe Sabbatical in PerthBien & Fe

After twelve long years of service in Cambodia the missionary couple have finally had their deserving long service leave back in Perth. The timing could not be more perfect as Ps Bien was just recovering from a health attack and together with Fe they took the opportunity to assist their son, Genesis, to settle back into Perth by enrolling him into a college to further his study.

They also share their experience with some church groups and to catch up with many of their supporters, friends and family members.

The foundation is almost completed and the building is on schedule for completion in September. Please pray that the building will be completed without mishaps and hiccups. We hope you can join us on 9th January 2016 for the official school opening. Thank you for all your support and encouragement through prayer and generous donation.

With your partnership you have given the children of Emmanuel a hope and a future.

Several factory workers living in the vicinity of the industrial estate where the church is located are attending the English lesson provided by Ps Phally. Some of them also attended the Sunday church service and even involved themselves in the worship team. A number responded to the alter call at the end of the Sunday service.

We are looking forward to be back in Phnom Penh this August for the school graduation and the annual church camp cum staff retreat.

Shalom.
