Perth Chinese Christian Church
Perth Chinese Christian Church was started in November 1978 with four families and a total of twenty people worshipping fortnightly. In January 1987, the church acquired four lots of land in Doubleview, with a worship centre, a hall and two houses, all from Scarborough Church of Christ. The South Branch ministry commenced in November 1991, using the Parkwood Lutheran Church for worship services.
Construction of the new worship centre in Doubleview was commenced in May 1996, and upon completion, it was dedicated on the 23rd of February 1997. The church is now in the process of building a worship centre for the South Branch.
We currently have three full time pastors. Rev. Richard Tan is pastoring the North English-speaking congregation, Rev. Philip Tay is pastoring the two Chinese-speaking congregations at the North branch, while Pastor John Yiap is pastoring the two congregations at the South branch.

We call our Sunday morning services ‘Celebrations’ because we are coming together to celebrate Jesus Christ. We do this through singing songs of worship, praying and listening to teaching from the Bible.
Usually, it looks like this: A live band leads us in singing and praying together. Each week we share the Feast of Jesus (bread and juice) to remember the death, resurrection and future return of Jesus. This is followed by a few announcements and an opportunity to take your children (ages 0-11) out to age-appropriate programs.
We then hear from someone who will teach from the Bible about God and living in response to God (usually 30-40 minutes). Often we will respond to what has been taught by singing or praying together, before breaking for coffee and tea to finish our time together.
You’re welcome to come and fully participate or just sit and observe. We’d love to meet you! Sundays are only one part of NLC – scroll down for more.
